What will you be doing in this role?
- Implement business rules in the HR Business Intelligence Data Warehouse
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources
- Create and maintain data marts and dimensional models, and the logic to keep these updated
- Implement best practices to ensure the integrity of data with exception-handling routines
- Development of custom applications, application components and database objects in support of information systems
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of the data warehouse environment
- Develop and maintain data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
- Actively contribute to all aspects of the data project lifecycle including request intake and acknowledgement, project estimation, time-tracking, and prioritization of tasks
- Participation in data governance initiatives to uphold data quality standards
- Participation in technical and business meetings with IT and business stakeholders to identify data needs, clarify requirements, and implement solutions.
Requirements
What will you be bringing to the team?
- University degree in a relevant field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Excellent ability to analyse, model and interpret data
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Extensive Data Warehouse experience using SAP BODS (SAP Business Objects Data Services, Repository Manager, ETL Mapping/Transformations/Job Scheduling, Process Optimization), and Oracle DB. Working knowledge in other ETL / ELT tools is considered a plus
- Working knowledge of a version control system such as Git
- Excellent knowledge of Data Vault concepts
- Deep experience in data quality applied to Data Warehouse / Data Vault
- Experience of preparing FSD/TSD (Functional/Technical Specification Document) documents from BRD (Business Requirement Document) / Customer Requirements.
- Extensive experience in designing and modelling using modelling tools like PowerDesigner
- Thoroughly proficient in SQL, PL/SQL development in Oracle. Expertise in other programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is considered a big plus
- Working knowledge in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and related components, SQL Server on Azure, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse is considered a plus
- A valid certification in a recognized quality assurance standard is considered a plus (i.e. ISTQB), certification in data and analytics testing is considered a plus (i.e. DAU-CDAT)
- Fluency in English, French language knowledge is considered a plus.
